Tekton Success Case
Tekton, a Brazilian engineering company that manages the implementation of corporate works, obtained a reduction of delivery of reports of works from 10 to three days.
The company obtained this result after replacing Microsoft Excel document creation with Office Track, an Israeli business management app. According to Bertram Shayer, CEO of Tekton, using the app has brought a leap in quality to reports and project deliverables. Before, the document was short and detailed; now it has become more robust and can be done in minutes via the smartphone engineers.
Among the forms developed are inspection of works and check-lists for pre-delivery (inauguration of the site) and final delivery of the project (60 days after the inauguration). The following are analyzed: location and currency with neighboring land in the initial phase; then masonry, finishing and installations during the works; details of the finish, such as tiles and floors on delivery; and, in the final delivery, any defects in delivery are handled.
The company plans to use other apps, coupled with OfficeTrack, to help automate daily tasks. The executive stresses that they need more mobile solutions in the engineering work, since they are 50% out of the office with visits and checking of works and that this market is in rapid growth.
IMPACT ON BUSINESS
Tekton grew 10% in the first quarter of 2018, when compared to the previous year. Currently, the engineering company inspects more than 30 projects in Brazil.
